Play about Amon Carter wins second major award

The cast and crew of AMON! The Ultimate Texan, a play that debuted in 2019, have fantastic news.

We won a top award from BroadwayWorld.com.

Our play has been named best "Production of a Play of the Decade."

The 2020 awards are for the Dallas-Fort Worth theater scene, celebrating the best of local theater for the past decade.

The public submitted the nominees and voted for their favorites.

AMON! previously won Best New Play by A Local Playwright in the Columns theater awards.

The award-winning play by Dallas Morning News Watchdog columnist Dave Lieber features Kelvin Dilks as Amon "Mr. Fort Worth" Carter.

It's directed by Connie Sanchez and produced by Rick Blair of Artisan Center Theater.
